Kyabje Zong Rinpoche, edited by David Molk, Snow Lion, 2006, 218pp, £12.95 / $18.95
The book begins with a fascinating biographical profile of Kyabje Zong Rinpoche’s life. This is followed by an introduction by the editor, David Molk, at Ganden Samten Ling, Big Sur, California. Then comes an overview of the practice of chod. ‘Chod deals with severing self-cherishing mind and with cherishing others more than oneself. The Tibetan word chod means “cutting”.’ Following this are sections on the Preliminary Practices of Chod, the Actual Practice of Chod, Concluding Advice, and five appendices of dedications, offerings and prayers.
Of particular interest to serious practitioners following the Tibetan tradition or otherwise.
